Where to Refer for Assistance
All faculty
and staff at George Mason University have a vested interest and responsibility
to assure that students can get the technical resources they need. The
best resource for students for general technical information is the
Student Information Technology Guide, which is available at <http://itusupport.gmu.edu/STG/STGfrontpage.asp>.
Students are encouraged to check directly with their professor about
specific class projects involving technology. Students may call the

problems.
Telephone
Services
Telecommunications
Administration receives, programs, and coordinates all requests for
telephone service, equipment, moves, adds and changes throughout the
university. George Mason University owns and maintains its own telephone
system. There are currently five telephone systems networked together,
which provide five-digit dialing between all locations. Requests for
consulting services on department telephone system design, service selection,
training, or new phone service and moves should be arranged through
your department Telecom Coordinator. To determine who your Telecom Coordinator
is, see the web page
<http://telecomadmin.gmu.edu/voice/coordinators.html>
or call the department number for Telecom Admin 703-993-3546. Telecom
Coordinators have been selected by your department to be the primary
contact for Telecommunications Administration. They are authorized by
your department to submit requests committing department funds to compensate
ITU for services. All repairs should be directed to the ITU Support
Center at 703-993-8870. Telephone billing includes all administrative
charges (local and long distance calling, phone
services and equipment, etc.) that are billed monthly to the department.
Summary and detailed reports are available on the web. Access to department
telephone bills is provided to your department Telecom Coordinator.
For more information, contact your department Telecom Coordinator or
call the Telecom Admin department number 703-993-3546. For information
