Set Up Your Computer Hardware/Software/Internet

Computer Purchases - For information on what type of computer to purchase, contact Patriot Computers at http://compstore.gmu.edu.

Computer Repairs - Contact the ITU Support Center at 703-993-8870, support@gmu.edu, or http://itusupport.gmu.edu.

Computer Installs - Requests for installs must be placed by the department's Telecom Coordinator. See http://telecomadmin.gmu.edu/coord/coordinator.htm for a listing of Telecom Coordinators.

Internet Access from Your Office - Most offices have an active Internet jack. If your office does not have an active Internet jack or you are unsure of how to access the Internet, call the ITU Support Center for information and assistance (703-993-8870).

Dial-Up to Intranet at Mason - Free dial-up to Mason's intranet is available. See http://itusupport.gmu.edu/STG/dial-up.asp for information.

Wireless Network - Wireless networks are available in specific locations throughout the campus. See http://wireless.gmu.edu for maps and directions for setting up your laptop for Mason's wireless network.
