E-mail Encryption Instructions:
Eudora 5.2 for Macintosh
Note: All Eudora users
should upgrade to the most current version of Eudora for your platform
due to sporatic issues we are seeing with older versions.
- Open Eudora.
- From the Special
menu, select Settings.
- From the menu on the left
click Sending Mail.
Please note: If you are accessing
your e-mail through an Internet Service Provider (such as Earthlink,
Cox, Verizon, etc.), your provider may supply their own outbound mail
server (e.g., smtp.east.cox.net) and require that their outbound mail
server be used. Please DO NOT change this setting.
- Place a check in in the
box labeled Allow Authorization.
- From the menu on the left,
scroll down to the SSL Icon and select it.
- Using the drop-down menu
next to SSL for SMTP, select Required, TLS.
- Using the drop-down menu
next to SSL for IMAP or POP, select
Required, Alternate Port.
- Click OK.
- Exit and reopen before
you use your e-mail.
