- Open Outlook Express or
Entourage.
- From the Tools menu,
select Accounts.
- Select your Mason account,
then click the Edit button.
- On the Account Settings
screen, under Receiving Mail, click the button labeled Click
here for advanced receiving options.
- Place a check in the box
labeled This IMAP service requires a secure connection (SSL).
- On the Account Settings
screen, under Sending Mail, click the button labeled Click
here for advanced sending options.
Please note: If you are accessing
your e-mail through an Internet Service Provider (such as Earthlink,
Cox, Verizon, etc.), your provider may supply their own outbound mail
server (e.g., smtp.east.cox.net) and require that their outbound mail
server be used. Please DO NOT change this setting.
- Place a check in the box
labeled SMTP service requires a secure connection (SSL).
- Click OK.
- Exit and reopen before you
use your e-mail.
